Emerging Trends

There are times I question reality,
but not until recently
have I questioned all I have been taught.

I remember using this to break through to a student,
and now it is used upon myself
there are many things we never speak of in public.

Yet, I am putting thim out there...
whether to release the bonds of secrecy...
or to protect myself for future.

I miss you Carolion.
Learned of your death today.
May you continue to be an all beings communicator.

Namaste.

A Thousand Words, A Thousand Years

wailing wall
/>
Without sleep, I tend to meditate...I feel...I feel the world...

the oceans...the gulf...sigh

the losses...fish, people, dolphins, birds...

the hope... that we will make conscious decisions...

the despair...when will we learn...

the judgment and the helplessness...

I wonder in the night...

as fireworks celebrate freedom...

freedom of choice...

free will...

freedom from the known.

I pray we wake up... embrace each other... and know that we are all in this together. I pray we make wiser decisions, appreciate diversity, and have compassion for all... but most of all, I pray that I have the courage to change.

The Illusion of Time

Full circle, it all comes full circle. The body of light transcends space-time - so obvious in spirit, so oblivious in a physical body. One cannot access the absolute without losing the personal "I" - the all seeing Eye opens. For those who pray for a higher will, there is one but it may come as quite a surprise.

Sleep in one world or awaken in another. No doing - - - words that intellectually meant something but have no meaning when being. The paradox resolved and finally I can sit and watch the grass grow.

Guru or Not?

The staff at the famed institute where I taught meditation kept a little black book on the spiriual teachers there. You don't easily fool people who support the retreats...they have seen it all - the love and light, the good, the bad and the ugly.

How do you find a spiritual teacher? How can you tell who really walks the talk and who is simply capitalizing on the marketing of a name, self-proclaimed mandate, or a tradition whose meaning has long been lost can be very simple:

  1. 1. Look for the enegetic connection that awakens a higher consciousness. Rely on YOUR reaction. Explore the recommendations of others, but rely on your own intuition and experience.
  2. 2. Observe the progress of the teacher's group. Is this the way a spiritual group interacts? Are issues handled with compassion and in a way to promote growth? Is there a structured hierarchy or is this a circle of peers?
  3. 3. Ask questions. Be respectful, but how does the teacher handle the challenge? The truth withstands all questions.

And if all else fails, look inside that little black book :)
Namaste.
